Version 1.0

Online: December 2nd 2004 - December 31st 2004

The very first layout of BrokenAway - I liked it as it was my first more "professional" one. I used Gimp to create it and was really content with the result. Nevertheless, it somehow stressed me because it was so over-colored with brushes and all the different shades of blue. That's why I needed something calmer... and Version 2.0 was born!

Version 2.0

Online: January 1st 2005 - February 5th 2005

I wanted simplicity and expressiveness - and so I created this layout which I think achieved these two criteria. I really loved it because I love the picture of the model. The navigation was very simple and I used many different fonts for it - and I think that looked beautiful ^_^

Version 3.0

Online: February 6th 2005 -March 8th 2005

Pink! Since Version 2.0 was very dark and simple, I wanted a change and decided to make a pink-beige layout featuring one of my favorite actresses, Zhang Ziyi :) It had a broad frame and a clearly arranged navigation. I liked it a lot.

Version 4.0

Online: March 9th 2005 -May 2nd 2005

I just couldn't help myself creating a new layout when I found these wonderful pictures of a "Bacardi" advertisement. I loved this layout, it was full of contrast with the yellow and black and had that nightlife-party spirit.

Version 5.0

Online: May 3rd 2005 - May 28th 2005

Back from Chicago, I wanted to do a new layout again. Having seen "Garden State" when I had been in Chicago, I decided to feature that awesome movie in the new layout :) It was a very light with captures from "Garden State" that made it look very cute and gave the whole thing something romantic.

Version 6.0

Online: May 29th 2005 - June 29th 2005

It was different, it was freaky and it was colorful- I really liked version 6.0 that featured Samaire Armstrong from "The O.C". I just put a lotta things on it that I like, that express something for me: guitars, an old car, chucks, Ché Guevara (Viva La Revolución!), vintage clothes... yeah.

Version 7.0

Online: June 30th 2005 - August 20th 2005

Again I made a darker layout... featuring two amazing pictures of Natalie Portman.  The colors were dark, dark red and even rosé as the font color. I liked the colors and the pictures, it was kind of a "mysterious" layout..

Version 8.0

Online: August 21th 2005 - October 3rd 2005

My first layout that didn't feature anyone! Just a TREE!!! I liked this layout because I loved the picture from the moment I found it (I know, it's just a tree, but nevertheless, I think it's very beautiful :). It had nice colors (beige, turquoise, black, some green) and was just different.

Version 9.0

Online: October 4th 2005 - October 27th 2005

"On ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur: L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." This wonderful passage is from the French novel "The little Prince" and means translated into English: "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly: what is essential is invisible to the eye"  - I created Version 9.0 with this words in mind and it was an interesting mix of darkbeige, orange and green admidst a black background. The woman from the layout was from a  model photoshoot.

Version 10.0

Online: October 27th 2005 - December 19th 2005

After I have been to the Dandy Warhols concert, I just needed to create a layout featuring that AWESOME band I really really liked the colors, they were fancy and bright. The whole layout was quite grungy, rokcing, just expressing the music of the Dandys ^_^

Version 11.0

Online: December 19th 2005 - January 6th 2006

Yes, again Zhang Ziyi, I just love this woman  I found these absolutely amazing picture of her online and wanted to create a "christmassy" layout anyway, so I used them and put it all under this "Christmas light". The layout was only online for about 2 weeks because it was so christmassy, but I liked it. Besides, it had a sidebar (!) and was so orderly arranged (which my layouts mostly aren't ).

Version 12.0

Online: January 6th 2006 - February 7th 2006

An absolutely different layout - it was COMIC time! I am a huge fan of the Peanuts, so this layout was just in rememberance of Snoopy and his friends. It featured every Peanuts character on it and was quite colorful and very comic-like :)

Version 13.0

Online: February 8th 2006 - March 2nd 2006

I found those pictures of Gisele Bündchen and some hot male model online - and I couldn't help myself but creating a layout out of them. It was very romantic (it was Valentine's Time anyway) and very soft...

Version 14.0

Online: March 3rd 2006 - May 27th 2006

The first layout with a guy on it... of course, it had to be Orlando Bloom. I think it was also the first time I ever used the color green, but I liked it. I also placed a chuck shoe on it because I love chucks. No special artistic intention behind that though...

Version 15.0

Online: May 28th 2006 - September 29th 2006

I returned to the grunge style and this layout was all Spanish... on the picture there was the phrase "Ay Patria, Patria, ay Patria, Cuándo ay Cuándo y Cuándo me encontraré contigo?". Nothing extraordinary, yet somehow exciting.

Version 16.0

Online: September 30th 2006 - November 24th 2006

This layout was kinda "back to basics" - I didn't want anything fancy or superstylish, I wanted something expressive. And this layout simply expressed freedom to me and that was what I wanted :)
